What kind of practical information should I know about before my stay?

Drop-in: Check-in and check-out is at 12.

Distance: There should be 4m distance between drop-in guests. Read more about our comfort rules HERE.

Cabins: Check-out by 12 and check-in after 3 PM.

Nearest store: Joker - only a 5-minute walk from the campsite.

Do you have a washing machine? Yes, we do.

Do you have greywater disposal? Yes, we do.

Do you have a communal kitchen? Yes, we have a modern communal kitchen with all facilities. Microwave, dishwasher, stove, and all kinds of glasses / dishes / cutlery.

Can you charge an electric car? Yes, it is possible to charge on the premises. We have two charging points.

Are dogs allowed? Dogs are allowed at the campsite and in the cabins, but we ask that they sleep in their own crate. Please also remember that leash rules apply all year.

What can I experience at Bjørkestølen?
Bjørkestølen is a perfect starting point for adventures all year round. In the summer, you can explore Mjølkevegen by bike, visit the popular Giant's Kettles, fish in the well-loved Tisleia, go hiking, or take the family to Tropicana Water Park in Gol. It's also close to Fagernes Folk Museum and Valdres Golf. In the winter, you'll find great ski trails right outside the door, and it's a short distance to the ski resorts at Golsfjellet and Aurdal.

Can I come with a motorhome, caravan, or tent without a reservation?

Yes, we offer drop-in camping for motorhomes, caravans, and tents as long as we have available capacity. Upon arrival, we help you check in and show you to a suitable spot. We have power connections at the sites, a station for emptying gray water, and many water points around the sites. The spots are natural with grass, flat for easy leveling, and have good sun exposure.

Yes, Bjørkestølen is a year-round campsite offering camping, cabins, and experiences both in summer and winter. Opening hours at Stølskroa vary depending on the season - but we are always available by email and phone.

What's included in the daily price?

We have a price with and a price without electricity. Wifi is included, but you have to buy tokens for the shower.
